Name: Tim Ash
My role in Mesomorphic: Software Developer and Scrum Master
How I got into coding: My parents bought me a BBC micro in 1982, and I never looked back.
My favourite language: Over the years, I’ve coded in BASIC, FORTRAN, Pascal, C#, Python, and JavaScript, but my favourite language is Ruby!
My dream project: A lot of serviceable computer equipment is thrown away each year, so something that would help match people who no longer need a particular component with someone who could make use of it would be something I’d like to work on.
If I were to recommend a resource to learn coding, I would recommend: I would recommend CodeWars which presents you with coding problems of various difficulty in the language of your choice, and allows you to compare your solutions with other users. It’s great for practising your problem-solving skills, and learning to code in an idiomatic style.
